Our Services

Testing/Inspection

Our testing of appliances are in compliance with the Code of Practice for In-Service Inspection and testing of Electrical Equipment and S.I. 299 Guidelines.

We utilise Seaward test equipment who are the leaders in PAT testing equipment in the Ireland and the UK.

During a PAT test, an inspection is conducted along with a selection of the following tests:

  • Full Visual Inspection

  • Electrical Testing:
    - Earth Bond
    - Insulation
    - Load and Earth Leakage
    - Touch Leakage
    - Polarity
    - Substitute Leakage
    - Flash

Failed items are identified, recorded and appropriate follow-up actions are recommended.

Reporting

Once the testing is completed the results are uploaded to a database for the purpose of reporting and storage. Our cloud-based database ensures secure access and reliable record keeping.

We issue three reports in PDF format:

  • CONCISE TEST RESULTS (Summary of appliances and their test results)

  • DETAILED TEST RESULTS  (Full details of test results of all appliances)

  • DETAILED FAILURE REPORT (The failure details along with actionable recommendations serve as a follow-up action list to effectively conclude the testing process and ensure your compliance with the legislation).

Labelling

Each appliance tested is given a unique identification number and asset tag. The durable asset tags are automatically generated and printed by the pat testing machine ensuring full traceability.

Passed items will have a clearly identifiable pass mark.

Failed items will have a clearly identifiable failure mark.

The report (DETAILED TEST RESULTS) will reference the full test data for all the tested items. The test details for each appliance can be checked at any time by cross-referencing the asset number on the appliance against the test result reports.

Qualifications and Insurance

Our testers are trained to C+G2377 level which is the accepted standard for PAT management and testing and we provide copies of our employee and public liability insurance and safety statement. A qualified electrician is used for repairs where required.
